In the springtime campus, the artistic atmosphere is thick, just like a scroll of ink painting waiting to be unfurled, brimming with poetry. The opening ceremony of the painting competition for the 10th grade students was held, just like an art gathering. The purpose of this competition is to stimulate the potential of students, cultivate their powers of observation and imagination, and integrate art into daily life, during which students transformed themselves into poets and artists, freely expressing their creativity on the paper. Specifically, with delicate brushstrokes, they depicted youth, dreams, as well as their inner thoughts and aspirations. Thus, not only did this competition present an incredible spectacle but also plant the seeds of art, which would enable the campus culture to become more splendid in the future.
First and foremost, on the day of the competition, the painting site was like an art palace where students transformed themselves into artists, using colors as ink and painting their youthful vigor on the paper. Moreover, students depicted the campus in spring with delicate and soft brushstrokes, fully showcasing the purity and delicacy; Also, students outlined the fantastical world with bold and intense colors, brimming with fearless passion. Evidently, each piece of work was telling the stories of the youthful dreams, the colors in which carried students’ aspirations, thus jointly composing the splendid chapters of youth.
Furthermore, with the completion of the creation, the selection process was carried out in an orderly manner in that the judges were well aware of the heavy responsibility. For instance, with professional eyes and impartial attitudes, the judges moved among the paintings, meticulously observing and repeatedly deliberating. Besides, from artistic expressiveness to the handling of details, the judges did not overlook any key point that could measure the quality of a piece of artwork, because they aimed to enable truly outstanding paintings to stand out among the rest.
Additionally, after the judges' rigorous selection, the final list of winners has been announced. This news was like a stone dropped into a calm lake, instantly causing ripples to spread out in the campus. Therefore, the atmosphere of joy spread rapidly, with every corner filled with anticipation and admiration for the outcome of this painting competition.
Last but not the least, the awarding ceremony brought the atmosphere of the event to its climax, being both warm and solemn. More noticeably, art teacher Zhang Hui read out the list of the winners in a loud voice. Every time she announced a name, it seemed as if she were opening the door of glory for the winners. Subsequently, Assistant Principal Xu Zuitai, Director Wang Yinchai of the International Department and Deputy Director Xu Haihong took turns to step onto the stage one after another, who solemnly handed out certificates and prizes to the winning students, conveying affirmation and encouragement. Accordingly, there was a continuous stream of thunderous applause from the audience with everyone giving a round of warm applause to the winners to express their congratulations.
